About this Role:

The Project Manager II is responsible for supporting the profitable and sustainable growth of Boston Scientific by providing leadership to the project managers within the Project Management Office (PMO). Specific responsibilities include: business analysis, strategic and operational planning, process improvement, organizational design, and the development of new programs.

 

In this role you will:

  • Manage the Project Management Office (PMO) for the Global Logistics community; create strategic alignment via the prioritization of projects and available resources for all critical functions within the organization
  • Identify business initiatives and work with respective leaders to identify and prioritize strategic initiatives that support profitable and sustainable growth
  • Develop and manage projects outlining work plans, timelines, roles and resources; Identify and lead cross-functional project teams comprised of project managers, functional experts and local country managers 
  • Own the Global Logistics PMO process; create and manage the site coordination between global, local and functional projects
  • Manage team progress to ensure all milestones and deliverables are achieved; provide updates on findings and progress to senior management and all stakeholders through frequent communication, reports and meetings
  • Develop implementation strategies and deliver project recommendations to senior management and all stakeholders; present changes in business strategy including key markets, distribution channels, pricing, processes and organization
  • Manage projects and develop implementation plans outlining work plans, timelines, roles and resources; Identify and lead implementation team(s), including local country representatives
  • Work with local country and functional team members to ensure all supporting infrastructure, including program guidelines, processes, training programs, organizational structure and new roles are developed and communicated
  • Lead quality initiatives and guide local leadership team(s) in maintaining full compliance with the BSC Quality System (Corporate Quality Manual & Procedures) and local quality requirements under the initiative of International Quality Director
  • Drive quality awareness in every employee and guide local organization(s) towards improved performance and customer-oriented initiatives

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field 
  • 5+ years of project management and leadership experience
  • Results-driven with strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines
  • Customer service-oriented with strong oral and written communication skills 
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain relationships on all levels in and outside of the organization
  • Strong project management and leadership skills, ability to drive and influence change cross-functionally
  • Travel up to 25% can be expected

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in the medical device industry
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma, Gantt and/or SCRUM)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus
  • Knowledge of global supply chain processes (Plan, Source, Make, Deliver) 
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of activity-based costing (cost to serve modeling)
