The Sr. Manager, Patient Recruitment & Engagement is responsible for developing and implementing strategies directly related to generating recruitment/engagement for some of Alector’s most exciting trials in the neurodegenerative space. This role will work with study teams, recruitment vendors, and CROs to ensure a comprehensive, patient centric recruitment and Engagement strategy for global clinical trials. This role will have direct reports.
During the first year, your goals will include:
- Establish and implement strategies for patient recruitment and engagement for Alector clinical trials
- Support study-specific enrollment modeling planning and analyze trends and impacts of plans to defined targets
- Collaborate with study teams to plan for and succeed in delivering patient enrollment and engagement goals
- Identify protocol-specific strategic risks and offer aligned strategy, evidence-based mitigations, contingency plans, and recommendations to clinical study teams
- Educate study teams on recruitment and engagement strategies tailored to unique clinical programs, including CRA and Investigator trainings and workshops
- Manage vendors related to patient recruitment and engagement activities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, CROs, and other vendors to establish communication pathways and insights into patient recruitment challenges
- Contribute to defining and documenting best practices in patient recruitment and engagement at Alector
- Serve and lead as the head of the internal Patient Recruitment Team, a cross-functional team dedicated to continuing ongoing efforts for recruitment.
- Candidate must be comfortable communicating progress/updates on recruitment to senior management.
We’d love to hear from you if:
- You have a Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree or higher preferred) in Life Sciences or Medical
- Have 7+ years of clinical trial’s experience, with at least 5 years of experience with patient recruitment and engagement activities
- You have 2+ years of experience in managing people
- You have a comprehensive knowledge of ICH GCP and global regulations/guidance documents governing Clinical Operations
- You are proficient with MS Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and internet-based training programs/technologies
- You have highly developed presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
- You have Exceptional creativity skills
- You have a demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
- You are able to build and maintain successful collaborations with both internal and external partners
- You have demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate and mentor teams
