General Summary/ Overview Statement
The candidate will serve as a full-time Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) in the Mass General Early Brain Development Initiative (EBDI), and will report to Dr. Joshua Roffman, director of EBDI. The coordinator will play a critical role in the quality control and analysis of data from the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD) study, an NIH-funded effort to elucidate the influence of a variety of environmental and genetic factors on various psychopathologies from ADHD to substance use disorder (SUD). The ABCD cohort is also one of the largest imaging cohorts and offers a unique opportunity to assess psychopathology and its risk and protective factors with data from many different levels. The coordinator will largely work with structural and functional MRI images via Freesurfer, focusing on improving the quality of images for analyses, which will target brain anatomical and functional correlates of psychopathology, environmental exposures, and genetics. Must be a diligent worker with a high attention to detail; the work will entail thorough examination of many scans to implement stringent and consistent quality control measures.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Assessing quality of T1- and T2-weighted structural as well as functional MRI scans
- Implementing consistent quality control across many individuals’ brain images
- Pre-processing images to prep for imaging analyses
- Contributing to imaging analyses and prepping data for manuscripts
- Contributing to IRB submissions, amendments and continuing reviews as needed

Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (e.g., psychology, engineering, neuroscience) required
- Prior experience with and/or a strong interest in neuroanatomy encouraged
- Prior experience designing, implementing, and analyzing structural and functional MRI studies a plus
- Experience with FreeSurfer software a plus
