We’re looking for a Senior Manager of Data Operations Strategy to join our team and help oversee the execution of PathAI’s data operations, including strategic data projects, budget management, external vendor management and data procurement initiatives. The manager will work closely with translational science leads, product development teams, data management, and business operations teams to ensure that data project goals are well defined and timelines are being met. The successful candidate will help strategize data process improvements for project and personnel management and will be responsible for reporting data procurement progress to cross-functional stakeholders, including executive level team members.
What you’ll do:
- Partner with team leads to develop and optimize scalable data procurement strategies and continuously reassess such strategies as the company grows
- Lead data sourcing processes to implement best practices and incorporate supplier risk mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across scientific and product development teams to the balance of procurement of biomedical datasets, ensuring quality and cost. Identify potential problems and take proactive measures to prevent risks.
- Help to establish and promote scalable practices and models for maintaining multimodal biomedical datasets
- Maintain daily communication with external data vendors to initiate, track and report on data procurement, escalating risks and delays when needed
- Drive the prioritization of our data and resource allocations, considering the combined roadmap and priorities of the company
- Lead the reporting progress on data procurement and prioritization while anticipating, managing and mitigating risks to upper management and key stakeholders
- Manage the onboarding of new data suppliers and communication. Facilitate efficient and timely interactions with cross-functional stakeholders
- Review supplier quotes, statements of work, and facilitate review and finalization by the PathAI Finance team
- Partner in supporting budget forecasting and spending for the procurement of external data resources, continually establishing new reporting processes to drive improvements and visibility
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 3-6+ years leading Pharmaceutical / Biotech industry sourcing and project management
- Extensive project management experience with proven ability to multi-task and manage projects timelines, budgets and surface risks effectively and efficiently
- Experience working with querying complex biomedical datasets including digital pathology, genomics and clinical data preferred
- Comfort with quantitative datasets and keen eye for quality control
- High energy, motivated and creative individual with a positive and professional demeanor
- Intellectual curiosity and the ability to learn quickly in a complex space
- Proven experience in functioning comfortably in a fast paced and dynamic environment
