Your role

🧠 As our Principal Neuroscientist (Ph.D.), you will have ownership of research and clinical projects. You will be part of the R&D team and collaborate with engineers and clinical partners to design and run clinical trials. You will also drive product innovation by identifying promising approaches. Your role will be key in designing and executing high-quality trials to develop the next generation of digital therapeutics for Alzheimer’s patients.

What you will do

• You should understand perfectly the state-of-the-art in neurostimulation and digital therapeutics (including VR).
• You will identify, explore and pioneer new digital therapeutics and neurostimulation methods to help people with neurological disorders.
• Design, coordinate and execute clinical trials to validate Clarity solutions.
• Analyze and present results to the team, at congress and events.
• Write and publish scientific papers.
• Develop Clarity academic partnerships with the best Universities in the world.

Who you are (skills & experience)

We would love to have you on our team if you,

• Are driven by solving health issues, especially neurological disorders and are excited by difficult challenges.
• Are product and results-oriented. We can not afford to dive without a clear roadmap and execute it. Our resources are limited, and patients don’t stop suffering. We look for someone who will keep the product on top of his/her mind and have the ability to take decisions fast. You should be comfortable delivering weekly improvements and navigating between data and gut-driven decisions.
• Have the ability to put heart into your work: in order to build something new and revolutionary, we can’t have a “closed expert mindset”. We look for someone who can work with his/her emotions and creative energy.
• Have an analytical sense and critical thinking: you will need to conduct scientific research and development in this role. This requires framing the technical requirements, analyzing and evaluating a problem or issue, and iterating.
• Are flexible and learn fast: given the scope of work, you should be able to jump from one topic to another with a similar impact.
• High ability to execute and collaborate: given the scope, volume and timeline of work, the ability to direct people—including yourself—towards a particular goal that may require orchestration is key. You know that in the end what matters is delivering a product that works.
• Are patient and determined. With any Start-Up, patience and determination are key. We are determined to bring our solutions forward, however, we recognize that there will be setbacks. We seek an individual who can be patient and understanding when we face these obstacles and able to stay motivated to help us reach our goals.

Key qualifications

• +3 years experience in non-invasive stimulation methods or digital therapeutics.
• Experience with analytical programming languages (Matlab, Python).
• Experience in running clinical trials.
• Experience with time-series signal processing and EEG devices.
• Ability in understanding complex datasets, analyze results and communicate them in a clear and simple way.
• Fluency in spoken and written English. All our communications are in English.

Preferred qualifications

• Already conducted research in the US.
• Some abilities in prototyping and engineering.
• Experience applying virtual reality (VR) to neurological disorders.
• Experience designing brain-computer interfaces (BCI).
