Job Summary:
The Senior/Principal Biostatistician works independently in the production and quality control of analysis plans, reports, derived datasets, tables, listings and figures, provides statistical advice to clients and fulfills the project primary role within a designated project team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and lead a project team to successful completion of a project within timelines and budget
- Interact with clients as key contact with regard to statistical and contractual issues
- Perform QC of derived datasets, tables, figures and data listings produced by other department members and your own to ensure first time quality
- Understand and apply advanced statistical methods
- Lead production and quality control of randomizations, analysis plans, statistical reports, statistical sections of integrated clinical reports and other process supporting documents
- Provide a supporting role as a non-voting independent statistician providing data and analysis for DMC review
- Additional responsibilities as defined by supervisor/manager.

Requirements:
Required skills and experience:
- D. degree or equivalent in statistical science, mathematical analysis or related field plus 4 years relevant experience or a master’s degree plus 6 years relevant experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of statistical theory and methods and demonstrated ability to apply it to all phases of clinical trials
- Expertise in SAS programming including statistical analysis, data manipulation and scientific graphing.
- Experience in all tasks of a Trial Statistician
- Proven knowledge in Statistics and its applications to clinical trials
- Proven knowledge of statistical software packages
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Possess strong negotiation, diplomacy, team leadership skills and excellent organizational ability
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to identify and address issues proactively in a timely manner
- Ability to make appropriate decisions in ambiguous situations
- Carefully weighs the priority of project tasks and directs team accordingly
- Excellent computer literacy
- Demonstrate a sound knowledge of all relevant regulations, including GCP
