Position Summary
Neuroelectrics is hiring a Senior Electronics Engineer to help us maintain and improve our best-in-class product portfolio. The successful candidate will take ownership of product development tasks associated with our on-market products and incorporate feedback from users, suppliers, and internal customers into manufacturable hardware designs. This role requires efficient cross-departmental communication in order to gather inputs, and translate those into successful product updates launched to the market. Expertise in electronics with a focus on PCBA design and manufacturing is a requirement, but this role also demands a broad view of product development including mechanical and software engineering.
Main Responsibilities
- Electronic Component Selection
- Schematic and PCB design
- Circuit Simulation
- Root Cause Analysis
- Risk Management and Change Management Processes
- Technical Documentation writing
- Prototyping, Debug, and Design Verification
- Must interface with Customer Support, Production, Product Management, Project Managers, and other internal stakeholders for successful execution of design changes.
- Must work directly with external suppliers to design, validate, document, and control critical production processes.
- Must collaborate with other members of the team, sharing expertise and experience and proposing solutions to complex problems.
Experience And Education
- University degree in Industrial, Electronics, or Telecommunications Engineering
- Minimum 4 years experience in an industrial product development environment including direct involvement of transfer to production activities for electromechanical assemblies.
- Experience supporting on-market products desired.
- Experience in the medical device or other similar regulated industry is a plus.
Required Training And Skills
- Analog and Digital Circuit design at the PCB level
- In-depth understanding of electronics component specifications and critical parameters
- Design for Manufacturing
- Knowledge of common electronics test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.)
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to design and execute debug and verification tests
- Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation
