Neuralink is seeking an exceptional Study Director to join our Preclinical Research team. In this role, you will interact with Neuralink’s technical and clinical teams, as well as senior staff, to ensure that preclinical studies are thoughtfully executed, critical data is gathered and analyzed to support regulatory filings, and methods comply with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). The Study Director represents the single point of control for a study, and has overall responsibility for the scientific and technical conduct therein. This role involves frequent collaboration with the Study Manager as well as the Histology, Animal Care, Product, Quality Assurance, and Study & Surgical Operations teams.

Key Qualifications:
- Evidence of exceptional ability in neuroscience, biomedical engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of academic or industry experience.
- Experience working in neurobiology, including experimental and analytical design.
- A strong understanding of the scientific method and engineering first principles.
- Demonstrated ability directing and/or designing a project or study.
- Successful IDE or PMA submissions.
- Exceptional technical writing abilities.
- Data analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with and understanding of GLP and FDA guidelines for implantable medical devices.
- Experience working alongside engineers, scientists, veterinarians, and medical doctors.
- Experience with research report authorship and technical review.
- Familiar with project management software and techniques.
- Python experience.
