Our team is seeking a research scientist who is passionate about researching human motion perception, and helping the team to derive perception based analytical models and drive quality of experience based engineering specs

Candidates will have a solid research background and have made contributions to science through a combination of experimental and computational approaches.

Candidates will also have successfully designed unique experiments, built quantitative models using behavioral and physiological data, and possess a knack for pulling out novel insights. We are looking for a teammate with excellent interpersonal skills, and who has a dedication to conducting impactful research in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of human visual and vestibular motion perception.
  • Experience with developing simulation frameworks.
  • Ability to analyze and debug complex algorithms.
  • Background in design of experiments and statistics (GLM, ANOVA, regression).
  • Highly skilled in at least one scripting language such as Python or Matlab and working experience in C++ or C#
  • Practical experience with linear algebra and trigonometry.
  • Skilled in analyzing user study and simulation data.
  • Experience designing and running user studies.
  • Experience with visualizing data to stakeholders.
  • Creativity and curiosity for solving highly complex problems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

 

Description

We work on complex human motion perception problems. We are conducting state-of-the art research and aim to convert research findings into analytical models in order to derive engineering specs. The ideal candidate will possess the self-motivation, curiosity, and initiative to achieve those goals. Analogously, the candidate is a lifelong learner who passionately seeks to improve themselves and the quality of their work.

Education & Experience

MS in Neuroscience, Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science or equivalent field, with 3 years industry experience, or a PhD degree or equivalent industry experience.
