The Associate Director, Market Access Operations Analytics will create and manage the Market Access Analytics Roadmap for the Neuroscience business. The Roadmap will include a series of analytical infrastructure investments (e.g., bridging new data sets, introducing new analytical tools) supporting business strategy and objectives. Focusing primarily on data from patient services (e.g., specialty pharmacy/hub, copay, and field reimbursement interactions) joined with secondary data sets (e.g., claims), the Associate Director will produce analytics that drive resourcing and investment decisions. 

The Associate Director will collaborate with other MA Ops Analytics teammates supporting metrics – +reporting and dashboard management, and must partner across Market Access and other data analyst functions. The primary Market Access partner is Patient Access Services, while additional key Market Access stakeholders include Channel and Contract Operations, Pricing and Contracting Strategy, and Market Access Marketing. Example partner analyst functions include Forecasting, Sales Excellence, Analytics & Insights, and Health Economics and Outcomes Research. 

 

Essential Functions 

  • Identify priority investments in Neuroscience Market Access systems, data, processes, and competencies that are necessary for Market Access functions to achieve and exceed business goals 
  • Create and maintain prioritization processes and criteria (e.g., ROI) for Neuroscience Market Access investments 
  • Produce analytics that drive Patient Access Service resourcing and investment decisions (e.g., identify patient service drivers for compliance and persistency) 
  • Ensure alignment between Market Access, North American Business Operations, and IT when gathering, prioritizing, delivering, and maintaining data and technology investments DocuSign Envelope 
  • Assess business process effectiveness by analyzing baseline performance data (e.g., KPIs); identify improvement opportunities
  • Facilitate and support root cause analysis by analyzing data to test hypotheses 
  • Engage team members at all levels (individual contributor to senior leadership) in formal presentations, informal discussions, and workshops 
  • Support accountable leaders in driving data-based decisions and discipline in project execution

 

Required Knowledge Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience in market access / managed care and related data (e.g., claims, formulary, hub services)
  • Familiarity with data reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Alteryx) 
  • Familiarity with Lean / Six Sigma analysis tools (e.g., control charts, variance analysis, hypothesis testing) preferred 
  • Management/strategy consulting or similar experience preferred (i.e., experience with performing interviews and influencing decision-making) 
  • Good communications skills (verbal and written) is a must 
  • Experience in biotech, biopharma or pharmaceutical required 
  • Minimum 7 yrs industry experience with Analytics experience highly preferred Required/Preferred 

 

Education and Licenses 

  • Six Sigma Black Belt preferred 
  • PMP certification preferred 
  • Bachelor’s degree required
