The Washroom Lead will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support the research and development and Animal Care program. This role may perform duties such as assisting with cleaning animal caging, enrichment and dishes, cleaning and maintenance of the cage wash building, and receiving and organizing inventory. When applicable, the performance of these duties will meet the requirements outlined in 21 CFR Part 58 (Good Laboratory Practices), 21 CFR Part 11 (Electronic Records; Electronic Signatures), the appropriate Study Protocol, and Neuralink SOPs.
Responsibilities:
- Operation and general maintenance of the cage wash unit and building.
- Washing and sanitizing animal items such as but not limited to caging, enrichment and food bowls.
- Receiving and organizing Animal Care inventory using an internal inventory system.
- Perform required facilities maintenance, including but not limited to mopping, scrub inventory, trash removal, storage organization, etc.
- General facility care and maintenance.
- Follow proper documentation practices when performing procedures listed above.
- Ability to use common computer programs for data entry.
- Adhere to federal, state and local laws.
