Synchron is developing a platform of brain interface technology that transmits data in and out of the brain via devices implanted inside cerebral blood vessels using minimally invasive endovascular procedures (Neuro-Intervention).

We need a software engineer dedicated to developing digital device solutions leveraging our Brain Computer Interface (BCI) signals to allow our patients to accomplish a variety of digital tasks.  

In this role you will be responsible for working closely with our user interface team to develop software in Flutter to respond to our identified brain signals and give patient’s control over their devices.

Responsibilities 

• High level: design, build, test, launch, and maintain Flutter frontend software as well as backend platform functions
• Build software within a FDA-regulated agile development culture
• Create and execute on 3-year development roadmap to deliver second-generation software platform in partnership with our product team
• Effectively collaborate with engineering and product management/UX team on trade-offs and opportunities to build the best system possible.

Minimal Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science or related technical field  
• 1-2 years of software development experience 
• Proven track record in implementation of user interfaces in Flutter
• Experience working with collaborative teams to identify requirements and document software architecture and design choices

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Windows development
• Experience with iOS and Android development, especially accessibility frameworks and APIs
• Work experience on regulated software
