Your mission
- Design and build applications for the Android platform
- Play an active role in our results-oriented Agile team
- Experiment with new tools and technologies to produce cutting-edge solutions to business problems
- Ensure the performance, quality and responsiveness of applications
- Collaborate with your team to define, design and ship new features
- Identify and correct bottlenecks, fix bugs
- Help maintain code quality and encourage best development practices
From day one in this role, we’ll expect you to have
- 5+ years’ relevant experience on Android platform
- Extensive Android development experience (Android SDK, Android Studio, Kotlin)
- An excellent understanding of Android UX/UI guidelines/best practices and the ability to engage with the creative team to deliver pragmatic solutions, balancing design, quality and velocity
- An excellent understanding of Android app architecture and use of design patterns
- Experience working in Agile methodologies e.g. Scrum, KanbanFlair for clean code, reusability, testability and readability (SOLID, TDD)
- Strong OO & problem solving skills with an appreciation for pragmatism and simplicity in code
- Excellent communication skills
It’s great, but not required, if you have
- Knowledge of Jetpack Compose
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline
