The Opportunity
We are seeking an outstanding HR Operations Specialist to join our Human Resources/People team, reporting to the Associate Director, HR Operations. The HR Operations Specialist is responsible for maintaining and administering processes and systems related to onboarding, compensation, benefits administration, leave administration, immigration, policy administration, reward programs and offboarding. The successful candidate would be organized, detail-oriented, is an effective communicator, enjoys data and problem solving to develop streamlined processes to enable people to do their best work.
You will
- Oversee benefits administration to assist employees with enrollment, process contributions and answer employee questions about our plans
- Communicate any plan changes to employees, hold annual open enrollments and onboard/offboard employees from plans
- Champion collaborative cross-functional relationships with other operations teams, payroll and hiring managers to ensure the successful onboarding and offboarding of new employees and contingent workers
- Execute mobility and immigration programs and work with Immigration law firms on various visa applications
- Maintain current and compliant employee data and analysis and assist with evaluation and implementation of an internal HRIS
- In partnership with Associate Director, HR Operations, manage and administer all compensation-related matters (merit, promotions, bonuses), salary surveys, etc.
- In partnership with Associate Director, HR Operations, ensure People Operations audit and control processes are developed and followed in compliance with federal and state laws, internal policies and procedures
- Assess areas of opportunity, determine approach, compile and analyze data and prepare reports/recommendations to define people operations strategies related to people systems and processes
- Administer and provide input into the organization’s HR policies and procedures
- Maintain a solid, efficient HR infrastructure that supports the work of the CZ Biohub
- In partnership with Associate Director, HR Operations, develop creative and innovative solutions to complex employment arrangements
- Continually look for ways to further enhance HR’s support of the organization
- Be an ambassador of company culture and drive initiatives to constantly build upon and improve culture
You have
Essential –
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent
- 3-5 years’ experience in HR
- Demonstrated experience in the various HR functional areas, especially compensation, HRIS, benefits and payroll
- Ability to work at all levels of the HR “stack” – strategic, operational, and tactical
- Critical thinker with success in developing innovative solutions to organizational issues
- Ability to thrive in an unstructured environment
- Independent self-starter, with the ability to effectively work collaboratively across disciplines
- Ability to manage multiple, complex issues and prioritize projects concurrently
- High integrity and highly aligned with the mission and CZ Biohub values
- Demonstrated credibility and integrity in communications (interpersonal, verbal, and written)
