Summary
The Digital Learning Associate is a key member of the Digital Learning team and works with other Digital Learning staff to support virtual engagement, learning, and development activities across the Society.
The Digital Learning Associate supports the planning, execution, and evaluation of digital events, technologies, and other engagement initiatives. The Associate works with cross-functional teams to project manage and staff webinars, virtual conferences, and support the Neuronline online community. Additionally, the Associate works with SfN vendors, technology services, and digital platforms to support and develop SfN’s digital learning program.
Essential Job Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provide project management and event support for webinars, virtual conferences, and Neuronline Community forums and events. Includes managing the online event calendar, developing project timelines, leading, and monitoring promotion, and reporting.
- Provide support for Neuronline community programming, website improvements, and integration with other SfN initiatives
- Monitor and support the online community forums and volunteer activities, addressing technical problems as needed.
- Work to extend coverage of events and re-purpose content to maximize the reach of events, including posting in the Neuronline Community.
- Manage shared documents, update standard operating procedures, and facilitate communication between stakeholders.
- Ensure consistency and quality of events by collecting, reviewing, and updating digital assets, such as PowerPoint presentations, speaker bios, and speaker compliance forms.
- Assist with monitoring the digital learning budget, entering contracts and ORs.
- Develop, document, and communicate process improvements to enhance virtual events and the overall digital program.
- Maintain and create reports to inform program development, senior staff, and programmatic teams.
- Assist in drafting and editing communications as needed, including emails and social media posts.

Minimum Requirements And Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2 Years general administrative experience
Preferred:
- Experience with virtual event coordination or project management
- Strong attention to detail, ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to concisely compile and organize information
- Experience with data analysis, or desire to learn
- Experience in learning management systems, webinar or virtual meeting systems, or desire to learn
- Interest in learning and development, instructional design, and technology
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to use good judgement and to be diplomatic with sensitive situations
Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, the incumbent should have knowledge of MS Office, and be comfortable with learning new software.
