Our Muse 2 and Muse S headbands are designed to make meditation and sleep easier and provide real-time audio and visual feedback on your meditative and sleep state through the Muse companion app.
As a Product Designer at Interaxon, you’ll help turn our product vision into reality. You are a design thinker who is experienced in merging skills in visual design, UX and product management to create and deliver engaging interactions with clean usable interfaces in a mobile app. You are a proactive contributor who enjoys working with emerging technologies. You’ll work with a skilled and kind multidisciplinary team to bring meaningful design solutions into the lives of our customers.
This role is remote-friendly, with a preference for candidates based in Canada.
Your role:
- Collaborate with cross disciplinary development teams, ensuring product design needs are specified and communicated, deadlines are met, and an industry leading experience is delivered to our users.
- Contribute to product roadmap and feature prioritization. actively participate in design workshops to define and sketch new potential features and products.
- Design interface concepts for new features and communicate them through wireframes, prototypes and animations which can be presented to the team and tested with users.
- Share your prototypes with application developers to ensure your visual concepts are understood and implemented successfully on native platforms.
- Work within brand guidelines and collaborate with our marketing team to ensure that all interface design concepts align with the visual brand without sacrificing usability.
- Keep tabs on other ongoing UX and market research processes (customer feedback, surveys, analytics, ethnography, etc.) to maintain a high-level understanding of product and user experience to continually enhance the user journey.
What you have:
- A genuine interest in meditation/mindfulness or in learning about it.
- 3+ years experience designing and bringing apps or digital products to market, demonstrated with a strong portfolio.
- Experience managing all aspects of shipping product features, from concept through to post-launch.
- Curious and passionate about understanding our users through feedback, research, and data insights. Ability to apply that knowledge to create high-impact user experiences through user-centered design practices, excellent tactical visual skills and a solid knack for storytelling.
- Self motivated to clearly present and justify requirements and designs to various stakeholders, articulating requirements to developers and conveying ROI to business leaders.
- Proficiency in creating mockups, rapid prototypes and animations using Figma, Invision, Adobe Creative Suite.
- A deep understanding of Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines and/or Google’s Material Design standards.
- Strong knowledge of the latest digital product trends, product management and design practices (Agile, Lean UX, design sprints (GV), and/or design thinking.
