We are seeking highly motivated and collaborative cellular biologists to join our team in a hands-on role to discover the next generation of innovative cancer treatments. The successful candidate will be involved in the design, development, characterization, implementation of cell-based assays to support target identification, validation, and small molecule drug discovery for oncology targets. The ideal candidate should have proven bench level expertise in wide range of lab techniques including tissue culture, genetic engineering, and viability assays. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join an early stage start up interrogating a new frontier of science in condensate biology.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
- MS or BA/BS in Molecular biology, Genetics, or a related field with at least 1 year of research experience in biotech/pharma and/or academia. Level/title determinations for this position will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s combined skills, education and industry experience.
- Direct experience with mammalian cell culture, transfection, transduction methods is required.
- Direct experience with a wide range of basic molecular biology techniques such as nucleic acid extraction, plasmid assembly, protein analysis (ELISA, WB), fluorescent microscopy, flow cytometry, cell viability and soft agar assays is highly desired.
- Working knowledge of genome engineering approaches, high throughput screening and analysis using high-content imaging is valuable but not required.
- Experience with conducting single agent & combination drug testing and prosecuting diverse areas of biology (signaling, biochemistry, gene expression etc.) is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret, and present data in a clear manner and use data to generate new hypotheses
- Team oriented, highly motivated, execution focused with strong work ethic, ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial and multidisciplinary environment
