The Position
We have an opportunity for a talented Researcher to join our efforts to explore the development of new therapeutic modalities within the Peptide Therapeutic Department. Specifically, you will be helping us to develop a new technology that will enable the in situ discovery of peptide-based macrocycles on cells and/or tissues for targets of interest across a range of therapeutic areas. This work will include peptide display experiments, cell/tissue culturing, biochemical methods, large-scale data analysis, and designing/implementing/analyzing in vitro cellular, biochemical, and biophysical protein/peptide assays. Specific projects will involve collaborative interactions across multiple internal departments and will require regular project meetings and presentations. This is a technology development and discovery position that will require critical thinking, flexibility, multitasking, and the ability to learn and develop new techniques.
- Qualified candidates will have a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Molecular/Structural Biology, or equivalent education and experience with a strong publication record in relevant journals.
- Experience in display technologies (phage, yeast, mRNA, ribosome), small or large molecule screening technologies, cell/tissue imaging, and/or assay development is a plus.
- The successful candidate must be motivated, thoughtful and capable of working both independently and in a collaborative team setting.
- Strong problem solving, analytical, organizational, and communication skills are also required.
