Smart Eye is leading the global market for Driver Monitoring Systems, which will soon be a standard component in every car. Monitoring the driver behavior is safety critical both for normal driving as well as for autonomous driving. Work description

You will be part of our team improving and further developing our products and algorithms such as head- and eye-tracking, attentiveness and drowsiness, face identification and other interior sensing algorithms. We solve these challenging problems utilizing state-of-the-art algorithms in the fields of image processing, machine learning / AI, mathematics and accelerated computing.

The work includes developing new features and applications, embedding and optimizing the software for specific target platforms and environments, testing and verification for specific vehicle programs as well as working with our customers to create the best possible user experience.

You will have an active impact of the processes and projects and will work in close cooperation with the other talented team members. Your contribution to how we can meet our customers needs with tomorrow’s technology will be of crucial importance.

Skills and Requirements

​Must-have-skills and work tasks:

• University degree within Engineering context preferably Computer Science or similar.
• Good knowledge in C/C++ and Linux.
• Background in software development, preferably within embedded systems.
• Review and analyze system requirements and architecture to ensure that the design meets the needs of the project.
• Designing and implementing AUTOSAR in respect to:
  • Boot sequence and bootloader
  • IPC for communication between Smart Eye AIS domain and AUTOSAR domain
  • Diagnostics
  • AUTOSAR service needed for vehicle network communication
  • Software update mechanism.
• Collaborating with other team members, such as hardware and software engineers, to integrate AUTOSAR with the rest of the system and perform system level testing.
• Testing and verifying the functionality of the AUTOSAR RTE and the communication between the core and communication to and from the vehicle network.
• Lead software engineering teams and ensure the success of delivered solutions.
• Enable the team to work with quality
• Troubleshoot technical issues including software development, engineering tasks and product releases.
• Plan, design, lead and execute technical solutions and improvements.
• Work closely with your group manager and the Product Owners.

Good-to-have-skills:

• Experience in one or more fields of image processing, graphics programming, real time operating systems such as QNX or Integrity.
• Python and script-languages is a merit but not a must.
• Experience of software development and/or system engineering within automotive industry (Tier 1/OEM).
• Experience of developing software for products related to functional safety and ISO-26262 is a merit.
