Solid State of Mind is currently seeking a talented, motivated and creative individual to join us as a Artificial intelligence researcher. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team that is currently integrating recent advances in cognition, neuroscience, machine learning, microelectronics and physics to build autonomous artificial intelligence.

The successful candidate will research and deploy bleeding-edge AI technologies.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the research and development of novel AI building blocks
  • Establish training pipelines for the AI
  • Write robust and version-controlled code
  • Create internal and comprehensive documentation
  • Collaborate with the robotics team and the hardware team for the integration of the AI algorithms on robots
  • Experiment with real-world data to validate, evaluate and improve the algorithms
  • Contribute to a collaborative and stimulating work environment
  • Be active in the AI community of Montréal and elsewhere to find new possibilities for collaboration and to bring new ideas

 

Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge in a scientific field (ex. Neuroscience, Physics, Mathematics, etc.)
  • Very strong ability to innovate
  • A passion for solving difficult problems
  • Strong mathematical background
  • Strong programming background
  • Creative, open-minded
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong sense of responsibility
  • Bilingualism (French + English) is a plus
