The Center for Cognitive and Behavioral Brain Imaging, within the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks a Program Specialist to join our team. The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest college and the academic heart of the university. The College hosts 81 majors. The CCBBI, directed by Dr. Ruchika Prakash, is a state-of-the art imaging center, housing a research dedicated 3T Siemens Prisma scanner and supporting principal investigators across the university conducting scientific investigations related to human and animal imaging. The program specialist develops, plans, and supervises center initiatives, and serves as lead resource in execution of outreach activities that involve coordination among various stakeholders, including administration, faculty members, research scientists, and students. Examples include, coordinating the undergraduate diversity initiative, planning, orchestrating, and facilitating the CCBBI Research Day, outreach activities at local schools, other departments within OSU, and other community groups interested in brain research. The program specialist will also participate in establishing and implementing center policies that serve needs of various stakeholders, meeting frequently and communicating with various users about upcoming projects and help identify needs for equipment and/or sequences. They will serve as the primary contact for center users for coordination and implementation of pilot and funded studies, and supervise the center’s MRI Technologist. The program specialist will additionally assist the center director in scheduling meetings with various stakeholders, management of tasks pertaining to center business, and help plan for future initiatives and outreach activities. Position available for one year with the possibility of extension based on satisfactory performance and availability of funds.

 

Required Education & Experience: Master’s degree in psychology or neuroscience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Considerable experience in a teaching or research capacity in psychology or neuroscience.

Desired Education & Experience: Doctoral degree in psychology or neuroscience; experience working on research projects with multidisciplinary teams, and outreach efforts; experience in a neuroimaging lab or center.

 

Additional Information:

The targeted hiring range for this position is $54,700.00 – $60,000.00
