Process Integration Engineer (Neuralink Corp.; Fremont, CA): Engineer and direct microfabrication projects specializing in the fabrication and testing of thin film neural implants, as well as the integration of said thin films with an electronics stack that transmits neural signals for use in a brain machine interface. Operate and develop new recipes on a broad range of semiconductor equipment for improved material properties and device robustness. Own and execute on investigative projects from front to end, including project planning, novel device design, and technical communication and coordination with stakeholders and technical experts. Conceive of and implement new and distinct techniques for fabrication and integration of thin film neural implants.

Minimum requirements:

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science or related field, plus two (2) years of experience as a Process Integration Engineer, Microfabrication Process Engineer or related occupation.
• Must have experience with the following:
  • microfabrication of thin film devices using a variety of tools and measurement equipment;
  • design software to iterate on devices designs and test layouts;
  • neural interface design and prototyping;
  • technologies and equipment: photolithography equipment, physical vapor deposition equipment, chemical vapor deposition equipment, reactive ion etch equipment, metal evaporation equipment, dicing equipment, wafer grinding and chemical-mechanical planarization equipment.
