Position Summary

The IT Support Engineer I is responsible for maintaining computer systems and other technologies. The duties include working with other IT Technicians to install hardware and troubleshoot computer issues, respond to IT questions from users and monitoring and managing the ticketing system. This includes having an investigative mindset that motivates them to identify problems with computer systems, perform tests and finding root causes of system errors.

 

Main Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional Tier 2/3 hardware and software support to end users.
  • Monitor hardware, software, and system performance metrics.
  • Monitor ticketing system and resolve and/or escalate logged issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist with new user onboarding.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve on-site equipment and system issues.
  • Complete training requirements as required for this position within the required timeline.
  • Comply with applicable quality system procedures/policies.

 

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

Required:

  • Associate degree in Computer Science, information systems or related field

 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • MCSE / MCSA Certification

 

Experience:

Required:

  • 3-6 years’ experience in information systems.
  • Experience administering Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Sharepoint, Microsoft Office365
  • Experience with Windows Active Directory, Windows 10/11 (OS), Windows File & Print services, and Windows desktop platform.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.
  • Knowledge of Windows Server 2012-2019/Hyper-V, Virtual Machine management.
  • Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience for workstations and software applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
     

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws, HIPAA
  • Experience providing user support in the medical field
