Creating LivaNova and ultimately building a new premier medical device company has been an exciting time for us! In response to our growth, we have an opportunity for a Field Service Technical Engineer to join our Cardiac Surgery (CS) Service Team.

Independently, you will provide technical support to our existing customers for our CS Products. This is an opportunity to work hands-on with heart-lung machines and other cardiopulmonary equipment. You will put your excellent troubleshooting skills to work as you manage problems and issues as needed.

Here is what Year One is all about:

  • Provides corrective maintenance on equipment within assigned territory.
  • Responsible and accountable for all assigned company assets including tools, test equipment, inventory, computers, pagers, corporate cards, documentation, “intellectual property,” etc.
  • Completes timely paperwork, documentation, and administrative tasks per organizational policy and procedures.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on equipment within scheduled time frames.
  • Communicates accurate technical findings to enable thorough analysis of problems, root causes, and resolutions.
  • Sells service business as appropriate and works closely with the sales team to continue a strong LivaNova presence.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience: 1-3 years recent prior experience working in-field technical support or in-house electronics/mechanical background.
  • Education: 2 years of technical college or equivalent experience.
  • Travel expectations: 50% – 75%.

 

Skills:

  • Comprehensive and efficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superior analytical and organizational capabilities and a passion for meeting deadlines.
  • Capacity to work independently.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined
  • Eager to learn
