About MYndspan
MYndspan is a brain wellness and analytics startup enabling consumers to assess and monitor their brain health to extend the healthy lifespan of their mind. MYndspan is doing this by building brain health reports that use a combination of cognitive function and brain connectivity as measured by Magnetoencephalography (MEG). MYndspan was established in May 2020 and has been in development for 2 and a half years with a small close-knit team of leading experts in MEG, AI, ML, and bioinformatics.
MYndspan is looking for a Technical Product Owner to join our close-knit team to manage the development and implementation of our solution to produce the best possible brain health reports for our clients.
Job Description
You, the Technical Product Owner, will work closely with the Chief Science Officer to ensure the various analyses and outputs presented in the client report meet the needs of, and are easily interpreted by, our clients. You will also work closely with our scientists to design the implementation pipeline and work with the systems infrastructure team to help put their specifications into production. You will also be responsible for ensuring the solution is in compliance with regulatory requirements, including making recommendations for required certifications in alignment with product improvements.
Ultimately, your role will focus on translating evidence backed science related to brain functions to help individuals get a better understanding of these functions in order to enhance their brain health.
Support and training will be provided by MYndpsan’s executives, as well as its Systems Infrastructure Team members to ensure you are well equipped to perform at your highest potential.

Responsibilities
- Working with Executives to address strategic priorities with a focus on product development
- Implementing project management workflows to take analyses from idea generation to production
- Working with the infrastructure team to develop, document and implement processes required to test analyses, and putting solutions into production
- Regulatory Planning (with external support as needed) in relation to Product Development & Ongoing monitoring of relevant regulatory requirements
- Optimising processes and policies across functions
- Implementing an ongoing feedback framework to power new product initiatives
- Communicating and translate the vision and future possibilities of the solution under development to the broader team, while collaborating with teammates to uncover key ideas and perspectives
Experience & Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience in Product Management, ideally within startups
- While practical experience is largely valued, a degree in a related discipline including Neuroscience, Psychology, Interaction Design, Business, Computer Science (or equivalent) would be appreciated
- General understanding of neuroscience/neurotech or medical device industries
- Experience with healthtech/medtech solutions,including with regulatory requirements and their impact on product development (e.g. FDA, ISO 13485, MDD/MDR, etc.)
- Sufficient understanding of coding/statistical languages and environments to be able to interact with developers (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, Docker, Git, Google Collab, etc.)
- Thinking “big picture” and being able to take a step back to adjust course as needed, and re/de-emphasizing on initiatives when necessary
- Managerial experience, preferably with direct reports
- English language fluency
- Other “nice to have” skills include a knowledge/understanding of:
- Agile development frameworks
- Project management tools and environments (e.g., Jira and Confluence)
- Relational database construction and management (e.g., PostgreSQL)
