About the role:

We’re hiring a hardware engineer to assist with the electrical development of our first consumer-ready device!

 

What we’re looking for (qualifications):

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent (autodidacts welcome) in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with power supply design, RF layout, and common digital communication protocols.
  • Experience with bio-medical sensors such as EEG, PPG, SpO², IMU, etc.
  • Significant proficiency in KiCad or Altium (sorry, Eagle :P).
  • Experience with embedded programming (ideally C).
  • Basic understanding of Bluetooth (specifically Bluetooth Low Energy).

 

What you’ll do (responsibilities):

  • Run the development of our first consumer device (maintain budget and timeline) – this includes:
    • PCB layout of electrical circuits with mass production in mind using EDA tools like Altium or KiCad (familiarity with SPICE may be helpful).
    • Validate designs/layouts using various instruments (including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power analyzers).
    • Domestic and international travel to manage production and fabrication (fully covered).
  • Help estimate, plan, and execute projects and features.
  • Contribute technical opinion to significant product decisions and manage potential outcomes.
  • Contribute to the research, development, and release of next-generation technologies, manufacturing techniques, and concepts.
