The Role

We’re looking for a Electronics Engineering Lead to join our unique, experimental, high-growth environment, taking ownership of our complex electronics function whilst collaborating with world-class Engineers, Scientists, Physicists, and Researchers.

You will be a creative thinker, able to think fast and solve complex problems. We’re looking for someone who thrives in challenges and leads with inspiration.

Responsibilities

You will build and lead a cross functional team of talented FPGA Engineers, High-Speed Engineers, and Electronics Engineers, whilst still getting your hands dirty too.

We’re a neurotech start-up embarking on our biggest year to date in new product development. We build cutting-edge neurosensing apparatus with the aim of enhancing research and medical procedures for brain disorders, ultimately improving and saving patient lives.

You should have an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong work ethic. You learn fast and enjoy the adaptable working environment of a high-growth start-up.

About You

• Experience leading a team of Electronics Engineers, providing guidance, and ensuring OKRs and goals are met
• Exceptional communication skills; you can inspire, motivate, and guide your team. You can collaborate with diverse, highly skilled colleagues in different fields.
• Strong industry experience in high-speed electronics design, developing sophisticated electronics solutions
• Detailed design, multilayer PCB layout and analysis of complex systems (e.g. high-speed ADCs, clocking solutions, FPGAs, memory modules, high-speed external interfaces, etc.)
• Excellent theoretical and practical understanding of best design practices
• High standard reporting and documentation
• Thorough understanding of how to implement and follow regulatory, medical, and safety compliance standards, e.g. IEC60601, ISO13485
• You act proactively and plan ahead on multiple projects at once, ensuring key engineering deliverable timelines are met
• You can understand the underlying physics of complex problems
• Highly creative first principle thinker who thrives on hard problems and is a natural people person
