Job Description.
Cajal is seeking a Technical Project Manager motivated by Cajal’s mission to develop new medicines for patients with neurodegenerative disorders.
As the Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for driving business-essential technology projects from conception through launch and ongoing user training. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of projects through all stages of the implementation process. The Technical Project Manager should anticipate and resolve any problems, bottlenecks, or scheduling conflicts. Successful candidates are sound communicators who can link engineers, scientists, and service providers to ensure solutions meet the needs of research teams.

Responsibilities.
In 3 months you will:
- Drive the biweekly tactical sync with Benchling, our laboratory information management system (LIMS) provider, to proactively manage the platform for our scientists
- Collaborate with scientific teams to determine experimental tracking requirements and develop new schemas and notebook templates
- Build analytics dashboards that extract insights from the LIMS platform and guide experiment design and tracking
In 6 months you will:
- Drive the quarterly business review with our LIMS provider and bring alignment to our product roadmaps
- Engage with the computational biology team to integrate custom built pipelines with external systems to enable data and insights to flow across our platforms
In a year you will:
- Lead continued application refinement and implementation of new LIMS functionality
- Discover and pursue integration of multiple additional specialized LIMS systems into our ecosystem as needs arise
- Organize documentation and design and lead a training program for scientists and stakeholders
