The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with vision and boundless creativity to join our growing team in developing life-changing medical devices.
In this role, you will report to our Mechanical and Process Engineering Manager and will be designing and prototyping Class III implantable medical devices and electronic research equipment. You will develop test systems and methods for Design Verification Testing and collaborate with cross functional teams to transfer designs into our production workflow.
This is a full-time, salaried position starting immediately in our Salt Lake City office.
Key Qualifications
- BS degree in mechanical engineering.
- 5+ years design/development experience at a medical device company.
- Experience writing clear and thorough procedures (SOPs, Work Instructions).
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Solidworks.
- Experience working in an ISO 13485 certified environment.
Desired Qualifications
- Class II and/or III medical device engineering experience.
- Experience in cleanroom production process development.
- Experience with production tooling design (mold tooling preferred).
- Silicone and epoxy casting experience.
- Experienced with designing custom tests/fixtures for design verification.
- Proficiency in Solidworks PDM.
- Sterile packaging experience.
