Position
As the Lab Manager at Eikon, you will play a critical role in the day-to-day operation of the labs. You will work in a fast-paced environment with a group of talented scientists and engineers. This position requires the ability to handle a variety of responsibilities and provide support to our laboratories and staff.

What You’ll do
- Oversee and optimize the day-to-day lab operations in support of science and engineering labs
- Manage procurement of lab consumables, including vendor management, shipping, receiving, and consumables storage and organization
- Manage lab equipment including service contracts, repairs, calibrations, preventative maintenance, new equipment installation and training
- Handle biohazard and chemical waste collection, and schedule pickups
- Coordinate essential tasks to maintain lab efficiency including freezer de-frosting, glassware washing, autoclaving, and lab clean-ups
- Responsible for sterile environment maintenance in the TC labs, including cleaning of BSC, water bath, and incubators
- Order and replace LN2, CO2 and other gasses as required
- Collaborate with EH&S team to oversee lab safety including safe handling and disposal of chemicals and biohazardous reagents, enforce safety policies, and ensure compliance with laboratory safety rules
- Serve as primary contact for any lab needs or issues, including coordinating with facilities, and IT
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve operational issues and manage priorities
Qualifications
- BS in, life sciences, or related discipline, and 3 plus years of experience in lab management or scientific operations
- Demonstrated knowledge of previous safety experience within a laboratory environment
- Ability to show adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
- Works well both independently and collaboratively
- Ability to engages in short and long-term planning, sets priorities to optimize time usage
