Inscopix Data Product team at Inscopix is looking for a Senior Backend Developer to work on a new AWS-hosted cloud-based platform for organizing, analyzing, and visualizing neuroscience research data. This is an opportunity to build core pieces of a new scientific data analytics platform to help advance neuroscience research. Our first widespread release is later this year and you will get involved in every piece of the project. We’re using modern tools and adopting 2022 best practices. What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years of experience as a Backend developer
- Experience with Django, Postgresql, and Linux
- Interested in cloud services and cloud security and motivated to advance their skills and understanding in these areas.
- Experience working in enterprise environments with agile methodologies.
- Must be COVID-19 vaccinated
Technology we’re using that you’ll have the opportunity to learn or develop your skills in:
- AWS Services – Landing Zone, CodeBuild, CodeDeply, ECS, Fargate, Batch, Cognitio, S3, RDS
- Infrastructure – GitHub, Terraform, boto3
- Backend – Django/Python, PostgreSQL, Postgraphile / GraphQL, C++ (performant algorithms)
- Frontend – React / TypeScript, Apollo Client, AWS Amplify, WebAssembly
Location:
We have an office in downtown Vancouver B.C and value the collaboration and team culture that is facilitated by working together in person. We’re looking for someone that would enjoy being hybrid in some way whether that’s once a week or once a month. We have this job posted in Seattle as well because we think it’s close enough to drive to Vancouver for crtical meetings. We’ll consider a more remote situation for a candidate that is more advanced and in a region where we have employees already.
