About the role
The Senior Manager, Global Compliance Governance will report to the CCO. Ideal candidates will have strong project management, leadership and communication skills and will be adept at presenting and interacting at various levels, including with senior management, across the company. Candidates should also have a strong understanding of compliance risks in the healthcare/medical devices industry and implementing the elements of an effective compliance program. Candidates should have excellent writing skills, including writing technical compliance documents and content for policies and training.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assists CCO in implementing projects and deliverables relating to the governance element of the Global Compliance program, including creating content for compliance committees, developing metrics and other data on the compliance program and its effectiveness as well as supporting executive reporting to the Board of Directors, Executive Committee and other stakeholders.
- Manages Global Compliance’s policy framework to include:
- Processes/systems related to Global Compliance policy management (e.g. Windchill, etc.)
- Ensuring policy clarity and usability
- Liaising with legal regarding the interpretation of laws and regulations, etc.
- Leading an annual review of policies against industry codes and other regulatory changes to ensure policies remain current
- Ensuring timely revision of policy content
- Developing, implementing and/or revising Global Compliance policies and Standard Operating Procedures consistent with global laws and regulations and acceptable Company practices.
- Subject matter expert and subject-matter expert content writer for:
- Global Compliance communications, training and awareness initiatives
- Enterprise-wide training including Code of Conduct, Fraud and Abuse, Anti-Corruption/Anti-Bribery and other compliance-related training courses.
- Leads department-wide effort to ensure that Global Compliance records are maintained and archived, including relating to work in support of legal filings by Boston Scientific to regulatory bodies.
- Provides leadership, coaching, support and development to team members
- Creates an inclusive, high-performance culture in which all team members can reach their full potential while in pursuit of organizational objectives.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ plus years of experience in within a large company, consulting and/or law firm specializing in the healthcare industry
- Expertise in US anti-kickback and global anti-corruption/anti-bribery compliance risks
- Understanding and experience implementing elements of a compliance program is
- Exceptional program management skills, including ability to develop and implementation global efforts
- Strong writing skills
