Job Description

Paradromics is looking for a Senior Manufacturing Operator to produce key components of our neural implant system. The candidate will be involved in EDM, Laser machining, diffusion bonding, manual and automated assembly using SMT, wire bonding, and flip chip bonding systems. They will also be involved in inspection, and testing. There will be opportunities for growth and ownership of processes and tools. The ideal candidate is an experienced manufacturing operator looking to work on an exciting project and leverage multidisciplinary tools and techniques. You will have the opportunity to work with a fast-paced team of scientists and engineers trying to change the world – if that is interesting, this is the place for you!

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • AS in Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years’ experience working with automated or semi-automated microfabrication equipment
  • Willingness to learn and develop new processes (in conjunction with our scientists and engineers) with rapid iteration cycles
  • Experience visually inspecting and measuring parts to ensure they meet specified quality standards
  • Experience with safe chemical handling and disposal (i.e. Organic solvents, acids, bases)
  • Experience with Ultrasonic Baths for parts cleaning and/or other similar cleaning processes
  • Experience following, improving, and training others to SOPs
  • Experience working in a medical device or regulated industry

 

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience with high temperature equipment (i.e. Furnaces, Heated Press)
  • Experience with rapid prototyping equipment (i.e. 3D printers, laser cutters, basic machine shop)
  • Experience with Semiconductor packaging equipment (i.e. SMT Pick and Place, Soldering, Wire bonding)
  • Experience with failure analysis (i.e. Pull/Shear testing, cross-sectioning, accelerated aging)
  • Experience working with scanning electron microscopy (SEM) ideally with Electron Dispersive X-Ray Spectroscopy (EDS/EDX) capability
  • Experience with semiconductor characterization systems and socket test systems
  • Experience working in a Clean Room environment
