IT Specialist / Application Specialist – Global Technical Service (m/f/d)
Position Summary
The Interoperability IT Specialist will be an integral member of the Global Technical Service Team, responsible for supporting the bi- directional integrations for the LivaNova products, working in close collaboration with the technical field service team.
Essential Job Functions
- Daily activities: integrations, programming activities, building & maintaining interface mapping tables, Perfusion system configuration, Customization of pdf Reports by mean of Reporting tools and Queries in SQL DB, SQL query generation, synchronization, and technical support of all interoperability infrastructure topics. 2nd Line Support for our Technical Field Service teams at a Global level
- First contact and project support for integration with EMR and HIS providers, including 3rd Party suppliers for EMR integration
- Supports creation of Technical Service Documents such as Service Manual, Installation Procedures, and related Training Material
- Define and create programs, templates, and processes for deployment of current and future LivaNova products into the hospital IT infrastructure and provide needs and requirements for device serviceability to product design team.
- Uses advanced analytical, technical, and conceptual skills to support the development of system solutions for interface processing
- Write detailed, accurate interface specifications and other documents for both a technical and management audience
- Work confidently and effectively with data providers, systems administrators, and Product Development team
Requirements
- You have completed university studies in business informatics, computer science or a comparable specialist training course in a relevant field
- Some years of experience in healthcare IT, preferably in a hospital or health information exchange setting
- Strong experience in the field of IT in the hospital environment and/or medical device industry working directly with interfaces
- Good understanding of Industry 4.0 main topics (A.I., IIoT, Digital Twin, Preventive Maintenance, Big Data) and hands-on practice in IT services delivery in hybrid cloud environments
- Complete fluency in healthcare interoperability formats: HL7v2.X, FHIR
- Working experience in javascript
- Working experience in Interoperability middleware (e.g., MirthConnect)
- Comfort with integration infrastructure methods: REST, RESTful Services, API, XML, JSON, Azure, GCP and AWS
- Advanced experience in integration to common healthcare recipients: HIS / EHS / MDIP and clinical registries
- Working experience with Microsoft Windows, Firewalls, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft SQL query generation, data warehousing, and business intelligence tools
- Experience with CCD and C-CDA documents strongly desired
- Excellent knowledge of English, written and spoken; any other language is an asset
- Experience in working and communicating with IT hospital stakeholders
- Identifies and resolves system and procedural problems quickly and communicates to management and/or affected customers
- Organizational agility, able to work cross-functionally and globally to achieve business outcomes
- Customer-oriented mentality
- Self-disciplined; caring for details and capable to trade-off between valuable details and nice to have ones
- Follows strictly standard operating procedures
- Team player as well as capable to work independently
- Willing to be deployed internationally (25%+ of total working time
