The Position
We have an opening for a talented Senior Scientist to join our Biochemical and Cellular Pharmacology Department. The successful candidate will have an immunology background and support small molecule drug discovery using high throughput cell biology and biochemistry techniques. More specifically, the individual will lead the development validation and execution of various cellular and biochemical assays to support lead-finding and optimization efforts in the context of multidisciplinary project teams. Responsibilities include independently designing, developing and implementing functional biochemical and / or cell-based assays amenable for high throughput screening (HTS) and/or routine lead optimization characterization as well as quantitative pharmacodynamics biomarker assays to support in vitro and in vivo studies. The individual will be expected to lead the exploration and implementation of various innovative cellular and/or biochemical assay platforms compatible with in vitro pharmacology characterization and the corresponding data analysis workflows. In addition, the candidate will function as part of a multi-disciplinary project team that will coordinate with medicinal chemistry, DMPK, protein science, and in vitro and in vivo biology groups to advance lead molecules of the projects.
Minimum Requirements:
Degree requirement: PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant biological science, e.g. immunology, cell-biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, with experience in immunology and more than 3 years postdoctoral experience in a relevant research position.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $119,600 and $222,200. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
