Our Commercial Excellence IT mission is to enable the success of our commercial organizations by collaboratively leveraging technology and driving digital transformation. We attract exceptional talent with high business understanding to deliver high-value, fit-for-purpose services and solutions that Roche needs.
As Senior Solution Architect for Quote Management you will be a key player in a global matrix organization of IT experts & business stakeholders to drive the creation of future strategic Quote to Contract IT landscape. Furthermore, you will become a member of a newly formed international Chapter organization within Roche Informatics. More specifically your key responsibilities will be to work closely with business stakeholders to get a deep understanding of end to end processes and business needs.
- Provide architectural consulting expertise, direction, and assistance for the Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) area to management, business stakeholders and project teams
- Design and communicate high-level structures to enable and guide the design and development of integrated solutions that meet current and future business needs for Quote Management
- Align and collaborate on architectural solution concept work with stakeholders of up and downstream processes and products
- Define architecture & technical roadmaps which allow the seamless exchange and usage of data within and beyond Quote to Contract landscape including the consideration of modern integration patterns and design of integration APIs
- Conduct research on emerging trends and technologies for the respective area of responsibility and promote improvements to increase business value
- Innovate and optimize processes and methods within the domain to meet system or user requirements and develop new functionality
- Guide the development of, and modifications to, solution components to ensure that they take account of relevant architectures, strategies, policies, standards and practices

Together with your energy and passion the following criteria will help you be to be successful: Bachelor or advanced degree in Computer Science, engineering or equivalent degree and/or experience.
- A track record of building modern IT architectures in an interconnected IT landscape
- 5+ years of expert IT knowledge in Salesforce (SFDC), cloud based technologies and ideally the Apttus/ Conga solution suite Experience to work in an environment leveraging agile methodologies such as SCRUM or SAFe
- Experience in designing or setting up APIs ideally in Mulesoft or any other iPaaS tool
- An innovative mindset and strong business acumen to drive architecture design as a true enabler for the creation of business value
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain excellent working relationships and building trust with vendors, partners as well as internal teams
- Strong communication skills, ability to engage and influence business stakeholders, and driving collaboration across geographic boundaries
- Advanced English reading, writing, listening and speaking skills
- Flexibility to work outside of normal working hours
