About the Role 

This Senior Product Manager is responsible for developing and driving key marketing and business objectives for Boston Scientific’s RHYTHMIA HDx™ Mapping System and Electrophysiology (EP) Product Portfolio, with a focus on upstream marketing and new product development. This includes involvement in all aspects of building and refining the franchise strategy while helping to develop RHYTHMIA and associated products. This person demonstrates a high level of business acumen and has experience with highly technical and clinical products.  This Senior Product Manager has the interest and aptitude to uncover unmet customer needs, influence a product development pipeline, and drive products to commercialization.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

Market and Customer Insights

  • Identify needs for market research to support franchise product development and commercialization.
  • Develop strong market modeling assumptions to support market development with global internal and external customers.
  • Build expertise on global competitive technologies, including: products, strategies, strengths and weaknesses; utilize this information to form strategies that drive competitive advantage.
  • Leverage multiple sources to derive insights into customer needs.
  • Gather and analyze customer data to determine future offerings and market strategies.

Marketing Strategy and Product Development

  • Contribute to the development of a robust product pipeline by building business cases for both product portfolio and new market opportunities, with minimal guidance.
  • Independently represent marketing on one or more product development core teams; provide marketing support throughout a product’s development lifecycle.
  • Assist in creation of targeting, positioning, and value propositions for new products.
  • Effectively transition a new product to commercialization, including participation in sales force training.

Communication and Relationship Building

  • Establish relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) to execute franchise and business initiatives.
  • Develop global relationships and build credibility with key internal cross-functional stakeholders, including R&D and project management.
  • Influence other members of a cross-functional team.

 

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in product marketing
  • Ability to travel up to 20%  

 

Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Engineering, Science, Healthcare/Biomedical)
  • Advanced degree (Masters, MBA)
  • Medical device and/or electrophysiology experience
  • Upstream marketing and/or new product development experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and partner with internal/external stakeholders 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
