Job Description Summary:

The Faculty Research Track emphasizes the conduct of research in all relevant areas including basic sciences, clinical investigations, health policy, health care outcomes, or history and philosophy of medicine.

Job Description:

Required Qualifications:

• Education: PhD; and/or MD
• Work Experience: Strong records of translational research related to anesthesiology, including pediatric and adult pain research, neurostimulation, perioperative outcomes, cardiovascular research and postoperative neural cognition, neuroscience and pain medicine.
• Skills: Ability to foster a research culture within the Department of Anesthesiology and to advance interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research collaborations. Ability to provide mentorship to clinician researchers.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education: MD-PhD

• Develop & conduct nationally funded independent research program.
• Seek out and collaborate with faculty on campus both within and outside of the department.
• Participate in University & Departmental Medical and Graduate teaching programs.
