Business Program Manager

Boston, MA        ·        Full time

Pison is creating the next generation of neural interfaces that focus on gesture recognition and neurophysiological insights. Pison leverages our patented electroneurography (ENG) platform to translate data generated from our body’s natural physiological electricity stemming at the brain into machine interpretable events in software. This allows for never before seen intuitive control of any experience in the IoT universe and discovery of neurological correlations drawn from our proprietary AI and data sets. Pison’s government, Department of Defense and Fortune 100 customers have a deep pipeline of pending projects fueling our growth. Pison’s long term vision is to own the platform which translates human intention to machine-readable code.

Job Summary:

You will be a highly capable manager supporting the execution of current research and development (R&D) contracts, and leading the capture and execution of the next tier of higher-revenue R&D and procurement contracts.

Pison’s government R&D contracts (most often DoD SBIR or STTR contracts) are vital for advancing Pison’s electroneurography (ENG)-based gesture control technology for integration into government acquisition programs for human-machine teaming, situational awareness, night vision devices, and augmented reality for dismounted users.

Pison is positioned for a large increase in R&D and initial procurement opportunities due to substantial support from Congressional and Department of Defense (DoD) sponsors. You will be responsible for leading our proposal organization/preparation/submission, then managing the execution of contracts won – in some cases in collaboration with a lead Principal Investigator.

Due to our work with the United States government, US citizenship is mandatory.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Support the updating of Pison’s regular reporting tools (spreadsheets, etc) that illustrate pending Business capture pipelines.

Required Skills/Abilities/Experience:

  • Experienced in the Defense Acquisition System.  Must comprehend the customers’ processes of acquisition, requirements, and budgeting that enable successful execution of their program.
  • Experience with the federal acquisition life cycle developing or managing contracts, including familiarity with Statements of Work or Performance Work Statements, cost estimates, and evaluation and performance criteria.
  • 4-plus years experience as a DoD (military or civilian) acquisition program manager.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
