Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Associate Positions in Developmental Neurobiology
Two postdoctoral fellow/research associate positions are available immediately to study 1) post-transcriptional regulation of the development of neural stem cells, or 2) cellular and molecular mechanisms regulating dendrite targeting/tiling in developing central brains in Dr. Sijun Zhu’s lab in the Department of Neuroscience and Physiology at State University of New York Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York state. The lab is located in a brand-new Neuroscience Research Building equipped with numerous state-of-the-art imaging, genomics, proteomics, and computational facilities. Syracuse is a diverse and affordable metropolitan area located in central New York, with easy access to the Adirondack mountains, Catskills and Finger Lakes for a wide variety of seasonal recreation such as snow skiing and hiking. Candidates should have a PhD in Biology. A strong background and considerable research experience in genetics, molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, and/or developmental biology are preferred but not absolutely required. Candidates who are highly self-motivated, dedicated, and responsible are encouraged to apply. Positions will remain open until filled.
