About the Role:

Under the guidance of supervisory scientists, the Scientist will design, execute, and conduct research, development and/or clinical studies in collaboration with others related to Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) and Clinical Pharmacology. The Scientist will support quantitative evaluation of new products and maintenance of current pipeline through the application of pharmacokinetic data analysis (i.e., NCA) and PK/PD modeling and analysis. Growth potential to serve as primary point of contact for specific DMPK/Clinical pharmacology efforts.

 

Your Contributions (include, but not limited to):

  • Designs, executes or analyzes data from in-vitro studies to support in-life analysis and in-vivo pharmacology, pharmacokinetic and toxicology studies. Works with senior colleagues to implement novel methodologies to analyze drug candidates using bioanalytical techniques
  • May develop and implement novel methodologies to analyze drug candidates
  • May act as a bioanalytical representative on discovery or development teams
  • May manage outsourcing of BA/PK/TK studies
  • May contribute to the preparation or review of regulatory submissions and study reports
  • May mentor or train less experienced team members
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • BS/BA degree in Chemistry or closely related field and 5+ years of industry experience in an biotech, pharma, and/or CRO setting; Experience working in and accomplishing tasks a timeline driven setting; Experience in lab automation is required; Experience in large molecules and biomarkers bioanalysis is preferred OR
  • MS/MA degree in Chemistry or closely related field and 3+ years of similar experience noted above OR
  • PhD or equivalent and some similar experience as noted above or PostDoc work
  • Strong background in bioanalytical job-relevant core competency (instrumental analysis (LC/MS/MS and/or LC/UV), automation, matrix analysis, specialty mass spectrometry techniques, method development/validation GLP studies, biomarker analysis)
  • Extensive hands-on experience with role-appropriate technology and methodology such as: automation, tissue culture, LC-MS/MS, radioisotope use, PK analysis and modeling and simulation software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrates solid level of understanding project / group goals and methods
  • Consistently recognizes anomalous and inconsistent results and interprets experimental outcomes
  • Able to explain the process behind the data and implications of the results
  • Strong knowledge of one or more scientific disciplines, becoming expert in one discipline
  • Strong knowledge of scientific principles, methods and techniques
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated ability working with a variety of laboratory instrumentation and/or PK analysis and or modeling and simulation software
  • Ability to work as part of a team; may train lower levels
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking skills
  • Detail oriented and developing understanding of scientific impact on broader team objectives
  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines, with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $103,200.00-$165,200.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 20% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
