Position Summary
Reporting to the Sales Director,you will implement national sales programs in US & Canada by developing field sales action plans.
What Will You Do
- Implement national sales programs by developing field sales action plans in the territory of the US and Canada.
- Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
- Establish and adjust strategy by monitoring costs, competition, and demand.
- Develop and maintain business contacts, and ensure that the company mission, programs, products, and services are consistently presented suitably and positively in all the forums involving potential customers.
- Support the business development strategy process.
- Manage specific clients, products, and services.
- Travel to potential customer’s facilities, providing information and support to secure business, including building/maintaining relationships with top executives within customer organizations to expedite growth
- Evaluate territory performance and project growth in conjunction with the sales team
- Communicate customer requirements and request support from other departments as necessary to assist in achieving established objectives
- Recommend areas of future growth potential such as acquisitions, new market strategies, etc.
- Assist in establishing sales objectives for the territory in cooperation with management
- Timely field activity and special reporting to assist in business and product planning.
- Assure sales activities in the territory comply with company policies and procedure
- Provide timely and accurate forecasts of sales by customer and product
- Other duties as assigned
What Do You Need
Must-have
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration plus technical education.
- 3 years of experience as a sales manager.
- 5 years of sales experience.
- Proven track record of positive sales performance.
- Demonstrated a history of exceeding sales goals and quotas
- Ability to leverage existing relationships, across key decision-makers, to successfully close sales
- Prior experience creating and implementing sales forecasts and plans
- Understanding of social and other forms of media to navigate/network with potential customers
- Prior experience Analyzing sales data.
- Meeting sales goals by monitoring progress.
Bonus points
- Experience as Sales Manager in Medical Devices
- Sales experience with a clinical background and/or start-up organizations
