Working as a buyer here at Natus Medical you will work directly with our suppliers & contract manufacturers ensuring we meet our customer demand and our inventory requirements. Your great decision making, and problem-solving skills will be necessary to help us succeed

What your day to day role will look like:

• Using our material planning system to place purchase orders with our vendors.
• Monitoring vendor delivery schedules and staying on top of any overdue orders.
• Ensuring accuracy on all open Purchase Orders & Intercompany Orders and delivery dates
• Building and growing strong trusted relationships with our suppliers.
• Work with strategic sourcing to renegotiate prices/ contracts with existing suppliers or re-source with local suppliers, where possible, to ensure the best quality service and costs for Natus.
• Collaborating with Manufacturing and Customer Services to ensure ability to meet customer demands. Re-plan and re-prioritize work in response to changing market requirements, materials availability, breakdowns, changing customer requirements, etc.
• Support our teams in working through issues with colleagues in warehouse, incoming inspection, trade and compliance and finance.

What skills and experience will you need to be successful?

• 3-5 years relevant experience in a similar role with a multinational firm, Medical Device or Pharmaceuticals only.
• In depth knowledge of MRP / ERP systems and great in Microsoft Excel (Oracle/EBS, would be advantageous).
• Third level certification in a relevant discipline from a leading 3rd level institution
• IIPMM or APICS certification preferred.
• Good working knowledge of regulatory expectations and industry practices including industry standards QSR, ISO13485, and MDD.
• Mature judgment, problem solving and decision-making ability
