Pixium Vision is developing innovative Bionic Vision Systems, which are active implantable medical devices allowing the blind to regain greater autonomy and improved quality of daily living. The PRIMA system developed by Pixium Vision harnesses cutting edge developments in Mechanical, Electronics, Optics and Software Engineering / AI.

In this context, the mission of the Manufacturing Technician consists of assembling and adjusting opto-mechanical and electronic components, then carrying out performance verification tests. All this in compliance with the manufacturing processes and the expected criteria defined in the production instructions.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, he/she will work closely with the quality team, as well as with members of the R&D department.

Responsibilities

• Laboratory works consisting of handling, processing and assembly of small electronic, optical and mechanical component products,
• Testing of parts or assemblies under optical and/or electrical benches against detailed specifications,
• Visual inspection of microelectronic parts under high magnification microscopes,
• Working closely with Engineers on production issues
• Support quality for production related tasks such as incoming inspections or stock entry/shipments when required
• Rigorous documentation of all performed tasks in quality records in full accordance with Pixium Vision’s Quality System.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience

• Minimum Technician diploma or similar, with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar application.

• Very good skills in handling optical, mechanical, and electronic components,
• Ability to understand and follow written procedures and document manufacturing operations in dedicated forms in French and preferably also in English.
