The Head of Delivery’s role is to ensure the successful delivery of the company’s largest Population Health managed service contracts and ensure the customers’ clinical, operational and business outcomes are met.

 

Your mission

  • Take overall responsibility for successful delivery of all of iPLATO’s largest population health managed service contracts.
  • Recruit, build, and coach a team of high performing programme managers, Project Management Office (PMO) and other staff.
  • Set up a Project Management Office, and establish company standards for project and programme delivery in terms of documentation, project management, governance, methodology, quality and reporting.
  • Take personal responsibility for the delivery of one or more service contracts, whilst supporting other Programme Managers within your team in the successful delivery of their service contracts with a focus on:
    • Service & solution design
    • Performance management and control
    • Quality assurance
    • Stakeholder engagement
    • Risk management
    • Governance
    • Account management
    • Subcontractor management
    • Reporting
  • Manage and coordinate multiple diversified work streams (including tech, regulatory, data, IG, clinical, operations, etc) to ensure the company’s portfolio of service contracts are delivered on time and within budget, and that resources are prioritised and allocated to ensure optimal performance at the company level.
  • Build relationships with senior client stakeholders to gain buy-in and support for successful delivery of the company’s managed service contracts.
  • Lead and facilitate programme benefit realisation and evaluation.
  • Work with Sales to support the winning of new sales opportunities.
  • Prepare and present key documents such as tender responses, proposals, contracts and presentations.
  • Ensure that all service programmes are aligned with iPLATO’s business strategy.

 

From day one in this role, we’ll expect you to have

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in leading a team of Programme managers
  • Strong leader with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and track record in meeting and exceeding business objectives.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading the delivery of large scale, complex public healthcare transformation programmes in a dynamic and challenging environment.
  • Deep change management skills and understanding of human behaviour to effect lasting change
  • Thorough understanding of project and programme management techniques and methods.
  • Significant experience of process development and optimisation.
  • Ability to work through complex problems and deal with ambiguity, assessing the options and variables and providing clarity and direction to stakeholders.
  • Critical thinking with ability to anticipate issues and proactively manage and resolve them.
  • Ability to take overall responsibility for successful delivery of multiple service contracts, projects and programmes.
  • Excellent client facing skills, highly customer focused and comfortable operating at Board level.
  • Excellent knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principle

 

It’s Great, But Not Required, If You Have

  • Experience of programme management within public healthcare (NHS) or in the digital health or healthcare sectors
  • Experience in deploying behavioural insights to inform and ensure pathway transformation.
  • A clinical background as a specialist consultant, doctor, nurse or pharmacist.
  • A network of contacts across the NHS
  • Recognised qualifications in Programme Management, such as MSP Practitioner or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, or related STEM discipline
