Background
Dr-Julian Medical Group is a young, dynamic technology business that provides virtual care services to insurance companies, occupational health companies and the NHS so they can provide faster access to care and improve patient outcomes.
We have developed our own proprietary, secure Web App platform and mobile app to connect patients virtually with vetted clinicians who provide care appointments online – either by video, audio, or instant messaging and via phone, tablet or computer.
Dr-Julian’s approach and technology has won numerous accolades and awards, and in 2022 the company was selected for Amazon’s inaugural UK Healthcare Accelerator Programme – one of only 12 companies chosen from 117 applicants from 17 countries.
Dr-Julian operates a large team of self-employed and permanent care providers who between them provide support for a full range of mental health and well-being conditions.

Role Title: Business Transformation Manager
Hours: 37.5
Employed: Permanent
Start date: ASAP
Reporting to: Managing Director
Salary: £35,000 to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience
Location: U.K based. Remote working with some occasional travel into London offices expected
Job Description
This is a fantastic opportunity to work across the entire ecosystem of a tech start-up as it enters its scale-up phase and develops better processes to reduce operating friction and accelerate growth. This new role will report to the MD and working with the CEO your role will be rich and varied – from independently scoping and delivering small projects to managing larger workstreams with cross-functional interdependencies.
This is a multi-disciplinary role that will involve frequent scoping and analysis and a can-do attitude and logical approach to new, unstructured projects. As with any business transformation role a curiosity for, ambition to evaluate, and aptitude to learn new software that could streamline commercial operations is a crucial attribute. This individual is expected to be results-focused and commercially driven, working with the MD to plan deliverables around operating efficiency and margin improvements.
The role sits at the intersection of Project Management and Business Analyst and is ideally suited to a candidate with 3-4 years’ experience from either discipline who is eager to extend their skills. The ideal candidate will have some experience of a business change programme or project and a subsequent desire to broaden their horizons and experience in the discipline of business transformation.
This role is ideally suited to a candidate who has benefitted from the structure, training and operating discipline of a larger organisation or consultancy who wants the greater empowerment and diversity that a scale-up tech company can offer. As the company grows, the right candidate may have the opportunity to shape their role and influence future hires.
Specific responsibilities
- Customer journey/process mapping using Figma or similar
- Rolling TAM/SAM research and market intelligence-gathering by sales proposition
- Re-design and maintain competitor trackers by sales proposition
- Improve platform reporting functions and dashboard
- Project manage automation of platform administrative functions
- Re-evaluate CRM requirements for multi-channel/scale-up new business
- Project manage brand review initiative
- Consult on collaborative workflow improvements
- Maintenance of website – knowledge of Webflow or similar CMS desirable
- Identify opportunities to deploy software to reduce friction

Qualifications
- An agile methodology accreditation, CI accreditation, or similar is desirable.
- An accredited Change Management qualification, or a willingness to work towards one would be desirable
Skills and attributes
- Process mapping and design – strong end-to-end process mapping and design skills, with basic knowledge of process interaction with systems interfaces.
- Analytical skills – advanced knowledge of Excel and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) is desirable, with experience in delivering high quality data analysis and intelligence
- Improvement focus – innovative and forward thinking collaborating to identify how work activities across teams are related and highlight inefficiencies; help to remove barriers and make recommendations on the resources or support needed to improve processes. You reduce complexity to get things done.
- Change Management – demonstrable experience in delivering complex and lasting organisational change programmes and continuous improvement.
- Digital transformation experience – this could be helping to implement company-wide workflow or re-platforming a website or an app.
- Experience of effective collaborative workflow – knowledge of Atlassian’s productivity tools (or similar) is desirable.
- Self-motivated learner – the ability to show self-awareness and demonstrate openness and curiosity with the self-discipline to work independently on specific tasks as well as the organisational and communication skills needed to engage cross-discipline teams on business transformation projects that sit beyond their business-as-usual roles.
- Build effective relationships – build effective relationships with stakeholders across the organisation, influencing and promoting data driven approaches. The ability to report to and engage with C-level colleagues.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills – the self-discipline to work independently on specific tasks, as well as the organisational and communication skills needed to engage cross-discipline teams on business transformation projects that sit beyond their business-as-usual roles.
Experience
- 3-4 years’ experience within a Project Management or Business Analyst role ideally within a larger organisation or consultancy
- Some experience of a business change programme or project
