Clinical Research Field Engineer – GERMANY

1.   Brief Summary of key job aspects

Technical and administrative support of clinical trials. Plan and support of clinical device testing and re- education procedures at clinical sites. Support and lead technical and anatomical discussions with physicians and health care professionals. Liaison between clinics and company. Build awareness of Pixium Vision products and prepare market.

2.   Responsibilities

• Support the execution of clinical trials at Pixium and in clinical sites.
• Technical support for device tuning and re-education at clinical sites
• Supervision of psychophysical device testing.
• Liaison between R&D, physicians and healthcare professionals.
• Create test protocols for clinical device testing
• Support and monitoring of implantation procedures
• Advise clinical staff in using Pixium devices and following clinical procedures
• Managing the entry of data into the clinical database in accordance with Good Clinical Practices,
• Documentation of deviations and adverse events,
• Advising on the design and use of the clinical database,
• Advising on the design of clinical protocols and CRFs, Patient Informed Consent Form
• Review and analysis of the output of the CRFs and clinical protocols,
• Participating in the preparation of Clinical Reports,
• Administration of clinical trial files,
• Write and administer clinical standard operating procedures,
• Provision of documents to support Regulatory Submissions, and supervision regulatory submission,
• Interfaces and collaborate with Investigators/Clinical Operators.
• Assist sales after approval of the devices

3.   Minimum Qualifications/Experience

• A relevant scientific degree (minimum bachelor’s in engineering or Medical Science)
• Excellent technical understanding
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in German and English. Another European language is a plus.

4.   Personal Attributes

An excellent communicator, as the position requires a high level of communicational exchange with healthcare professionals and patients, excellent technical understanding, analytical, pragmatic, diplomatic, tenacious, and a committed team player. The position is Home based (Germany or France). Willing to travel in Europe (30-70% travel activity) and to work internationally with a significant amount of time abroad (Europe, mostly Germany).
