The Programme Manager’s role is to take responsibility for the successful delivery of one, or more, of iPLATO’s largest population health managed service contracts and ensure the customer’s clinical, operational and business outcomes are met. 

 

Your mission

  • Work closely with the Head of Delivery and Business Analyst to ensure the successful delivery of multiple service delivery programmes
  • Lead assigned service delivery contracts with specific focus on:
    • Service and solution design: to ensure that the service is delivered safely in the most cost effective and efficient manner;
    • Performance management and control: to ensure that key deliverable and revenue targets are met in line with agreed milestones, costs are in line with the budget and issues are identified and resolved without significant variation to the plan;
    • Quality assurance: by monitoring and reviewing processes, service level agreements, standard operating procedures, clinical governance, data governance, practices and policies to ensure these are adhered to whilst seeking out opportunities for continuous service improvement;
    • Stakeholder engagement: to ensure good communications with all involved parties (NHS and other organisations), so that their needs are fully understood and met, and their obligations are delivered;
    • Risk management: so that risks are identified, and mitigation plans put in place;
    • Governance: by establishing an appropriate governance framework to ensure alignment of multiple projects within each service programme;
    • Account management: to ensure the customer’s needs are met, the contract is renewed and opportunities to upsell and expand the service are realised;
    • Subcontractor Management: to ensure performance against contracted terms and quality of service;
    • Reporting: to ensure accurate and timely reporting of programme and service status to external and internal stakeholders;
  • Work with Sales to support the winning of new sales opportunities
  • Prepare and present key documents such as tender responses, proposals, contracts and presentations.
  • Ensure that all service programmes are aligned with iPLATO’s business strategy.
  • Lead the team of assigned iPLATO staff

 

From day one in this role, we’ll expect you to have

  • Demonstrable experience in leading the delivery of medium to large-scale complex public healthcare transformation programmes in a dynamic and challenging environment.
  • A minimum of 5 to 6 years of proven experience in project and program management
  • Ability to work through complex problems and deal with ambiguity, assessing the options and variables and providing clarity and direction to stakeholders.
  • Deep change management skills and understanding of human behaviour to effect lasting change
  • Critical thinking with ability to anticipate issues and proactively manage and resolve them.
  • Recognised qualifications in project management, such as PRINCE2 or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience in process development and optimisation.
  • Strong leader with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent client facing skills, highly customer focused and comfortable operating at Board level.
  • Excellent commercial judgment

 

It’s great, but not required, if you have

  • Experience of programme management within public healthcare (NHS) or in the digital health or healthcare sectors
  • A clinical background as a specialist consultant, doctor, nurse or pharmacist.
  • A network of contacts across the NHS
  • Experience in deploying behavioural insights to inform and ensure pathway transformation.
  • Recognised qualifications in Programme Management, such as MSP Foundation or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, or related STEM discipline
