Today, we’re ready to add an API Evangelist as our Senior Solution Engineer (Developer Relations) to our team. This position is a mix of marketing and engineering. Evangelists know their products in and out, receive feedback from the community, and work to improve the product and consumer experience. This person will protect the integrity of the data domains, create customer materials to provide helpful guidance, give assistance, and spread the good word about our data APIs.

Candidate Competencies and Requirements:

• You’re comfortable deep-diving into technology with more experienced developers and can use what you learn to explain developer workflows to a variety of audiences.
• You can adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions.
• Experience blogging and a writing sample of a technical blog post/or technical stack overflow answer are required.
• 5+ years of technical delivery of API solutions in mobile development.
• Experience working with and developing APIs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and interest in helping developers’ community to resolve issues positively.
• Excellent communication skills and interest in educating and supporting developers and consumers
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Self-starter and growth mindset.
• Experience with feature documentation and prioritization tools like JIRA.
• Experience working and driving day-day tasks and goals independently with minimal direction
• Comfortable working with distributed teams across global time-zones.
• Must be fluent in speaking and writing in English.

What you’ll be working on

The mission of Developer Evangelism is to ensure that our Zepp Health Developer Ecosystem represents the mastery of skill and quality of experience that developers join our technical community. This includes, but is not limited to: making sure product, messaging, open source repos, and integrations are world-class.

The Role:

• Working closely with their most experienced engineers to produce content.
• Hackathons.
• Developers’ Communities (Slack, Github, Reddit, Stack Overflow, Hackernews, Hackernoon).
• Developers’ Blogs.
• Tech/dev events.
• Creation and pairing execution of
• Speeches.
• Posts.
• Open source work.
• Creation of other materials for Developer Advocacy.
• Conduct interviews with notable engineers and founders via phone, podcasts, video, and in-person.
