Starfish Neuroscience is an early-stage startup advancing the science and engineering of brain interfaces. Basic and clinical neuroscience has shown how targeted modulation of brain activity patterns can create precise changes in physiology, affect, or cognition. We are seeking an experienced Clinical Research Coordinator who has overseen research and other projects to work on site in our Bellevue, WA office. 

Responsible for:

• Conducting clinical research activities according to ethical standards.
• Ensuring compliance of research activities with study protocols and relevant local, federal, and state regulatory and institutional policies.
• Subject recruitment, enrollment, and retention.
• Scheduling and performing study visits, including sample collection and questionnaire administration.
• Maintaining accurate source documentation and completing data entry, including use of Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems.
• Developing program-level and study-specific procedures for regulatory and research activities.
• Preparing study-related documentation such as procedural manuals, safety reports, and progress reports.
• Assisting in the development and review of study protocols and supporting documents to evaluate factors such as feasibility, data management, and subject safety. 
• Managing Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions from initial submission through close-out, including annual reports and expedited reporting as needed.
• Working with scientific, technical and operational teams to improve on study design and execution.

Qualifications: 

• Experience coordinating clinical studies, interfacing with research subjects, and managing IRB submissions.
• Experience with medical devices and FDA-regulated research is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Nursing, Biology), or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with different types of neuromodulation, such as magnetic, acoustic, electrical or optical a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Curiosity and a willingness to learn from others.
• Self-starter with the ability to proactively locate resources and problem-solve.
• The ability to successfully work collaboratively in a flat organizational structure.
• Able to function as an individual contributor, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and work with vendors, contractors and related disciplines.
